Frequently Asked Questions

questioning2

Answers to some of the most common questions about the air show.

Q: Besides the air show, what is there to see, or do, in the area?

A: Historic Wilmington & NC's Cape Fear Coast encompasses the city of Wilmington and the island communities of Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Wrightsville Beach. Its beautiful, uncrowded beaches and nearby estuarine reserves provide a true haven for sunseekers, beachcombers and nature lovers, and a sportsman's paradise for anglers, mariners and watersports enthusiasts. Each of these North Carolina beach cities is unique and will give you its own memorable experience. Because the city and beach towns are within 25 minutes of one another, you can enjoy them all in the same weekend.

Q: Why am I not getting Air Show Newsletters?

A: Until we have a firm date, and information to share, we will not be sending newsletters. If you have subscribed, please make sure you respond to the email so that your subscription will be validated.

NOTE: Newsletters will NOT be sent to e-mail addresses that have not been validated.

Q: Will there be handicapped parking?

A: Yes, display your handicap card and traffic directors will route you to the proper parking lot.

Q: Will there be places to sit?

A: There are no provisions for seating on the airport grounds. We suggest bringing a folding camp chair - and don't forget the sunblock as the Air Show is held under the open sky. Or, you and 5 friends can become a GOLD  Sponsor and sit at a private table - on the Flight Line - in a fenced in area with individual tables  that seat 6 - with a table umbrella, and be served complementary snack food (ex. pizza), beer, and soft drinks.

Q: Can I bring my personal golf cart?

A: Due to inssurance concerns, private vehicles such as golf carts, skate boards, in-line skates and bicycles are not allowed on air show grounds.

Q:  What happens if it rains?

A: The Air Show will be performed rain or shine.
